This chapter describes the procedure for installing the tableBASE PC Server.
Starting with Version 6, enhanced abend recovery mechanisms and other features which are implemented through Program Call (PC) instructions were introduced. The PC Server must be initiated, and be running whenever any tableBASE application is executed.
The PC Server must run from an APF-authorized library and should be running at all times, starting before the first use of tableBASE in the MVS image. It is recommended that it be set up as a started task and initiated at system initialization.

Note:
The modules for the PC Servers can only reside in LPA or in datasets specified by STEPLIB or SYSLIB; they cannot be loaded from LINKLIB.
