Designing APIs for Single Record Retrieval

This Chapter explains how to design and customize APIs using IBM Explorer for z/OS to create services and REST APIs for accessing z/OS resources.

The steps include:

  1. Create a Service Project.
  2. Deploy the Service Project.
  3. Create and configure an API Project.
  4. Map GET Method for the request to the API.
  5. Map GET Method for the response from the API.
  6. Deploy the API Project.
Note:
The names of all tableBASEtables and VTSes are for test purposes. Please use your organization’s naming schema.
