RESTConnector is an enhancement to the base product tableBASE RESTConnector acts as a middle component between tableBASE and z/OS Connect to transform a REST call into a native tableBASE API call that retrieves data from local TSRs and VTS-TSRs.
z/OS connect is not a mandatory requirement to use RESTConnector, however, z/OS Connect is recommended due to its ability to handle data transformation and easy integration capabilities with RESTConnector.
