The configurations described in this section involve VTS-TSRs that are not managed or owned by VTS Manager. Because these VTS-TSRs are not VTSManager-managed, TSRACCESS=RF, which exists specifically to support VTSManager alias switching in LDS-backed environments, is not applicable here and is therefore not supported by VTS Gate in this context.
However, VTS Gate provides its own mechanism for dynamic access swapping via the VV command. Because VTSManager can still perform an alias switch while a non-LDS VTS-TSR is in RO mode, it is possible to coordinate VTS Gate access swapping with VTSManager alias switching: VTS Gate swaps the VTS to RW for table preparation, then swaps it back to RO, at which point VTSManager’s alias switch can be performed.
