If a transaction program accesses a VTS-TSR with the VTSNAME name in the TB-PARM and a VTS SWITCH occurs while a conversational transaction is in progress, and if a different transaction accessing tableBASE, of any type, ends in the same MPR region, the conversational transaction(s) will access the newer VTS when the next segment in the conversational transaction occurs.
If a transaction program accesses a VTS-TSR using a linked table (using VTSFIRST, VTSLAST or the VTSname in a Library list (ML command with VTS:xxxx) and a VTS SWITCH occurs, the SWITCH will not be recognized until the linked table is closed and reopened by tableBASE or the VTS-TSR is taken down, returning a 1072 error code.
If an abend occurs in the IMS MPR after a SWITCH, the next access to the linked table in that region will be from the newer VTS-TSR.
