Among the modules delivered for VTSManager is a licensing module containing information about the expiration date of the VTSManager license. To notify the system with this information, the VTSManager LICENSE command must be run, or a restart of the PC Server must be executed. The LICENSE command is explained in more detail here: LICENSE Command.
The LICENSE command does not need to be specified every time a VTSManager command is issued. It only needs to be run for these special cases.
- You have received and installed the VTSManager product for the first time and do not want to recycle the PC Server.
- You have received an updated license module or a zap from DataKinetics and your license is expired.
- You wish to set a new or different warning period for the license. (The PC Server uses a 30-day default warning period.)
