CCARDS Keywords VSAM - DataKinetics

TABLE — Required. The name of the target tableBASE table.

VSAM-TYPE — Required. The VSAM dataset organization: ESDS, KSDS, or RRDS. If omitted, ETL determines the type from dataset metadata automatically.

ORG — Required. The tableBASE table organization. See valid values below.

METHOD — Required. The tableBASE access method. See valid values below.

ESTIMATED-ROWS — An estimate of the number of rows to be loaded. If omitted, ETL retrieves this value from VSAM metadata.

ROW-SIZE — The size of each row in bytes. If omitted, ETL retrieves this value from VSAM metadata. If specified, the value must be compatible with KEY-LOCATION and KEY-SIZE.

KEY-SIZE — Required. The size of the key field in bytes. Must be specified together with KEY-LOCATION. The combined key location and size must not exceed the row size.

KEY-LOCATION — Required. The byte offset of the key within the row. Must be specified together with KEY-SIZE.

Note:

The Estimated Rows and Row Size are optional.

For KSDS the Key Size and Key Location are required. For ESDS and RRDS, it must be provided by the user.
