The CNTLCARD DD identifies the data source type, input DD names, target table name, and storage destinations for each table to be loaded. A single CNTLCARD may contain multiple COPY statements to process multiple tables in one run. Each COPY statement is processed independently and can target a different combination of VTS/TSR and table library.
Keywords in the CNTLCARD must begin in column 1 or column 2. Content starting at column 3 or beyond is treated as a dummy record and the job terminates with RC=12.
