SQData: Data Integration and Synchronization
SQData provides a comprehensive range of data replication and data integration solutions that deliver fast time to value. With enterprise wide scalability, SQData integrates disparate data sources and supports multiple data delivery styles, enabling seamless sharing of data across the entire enterprise.
Data Replication
|
|
SQData Data Replication provides the power and flexibility to:
- Move data from any source to a range of targets (more than just traditional DBMS
- Move data in any direction, using multiple data delivery styles
- Move data with near real time latency
- Move only data that is changed
- Provide the confidence of consistency checking at the speed of data
- Provide the ability to trigger business events based on the data
With SQData, you can choose the combination of data access, transformation and delivery options to ensure that timely and trusted data is available to all types of consuming applications and DBMSs. In this way you can:
- Synchronize your data multidirectionally amongst a number of like systems for high availability
- Replicate data changes to a live standby subsystem
- Replicate changed data to a variety of disparate systems on different platforms and OS to make it available wherever you need your data
- Implement staged consolidation of data from a variety of heterogeneous systems onto a data warehousing platforms for BI
- Implement near-real-time conversion and integration of data between legacy systems and new systems.
- Create a single view of an object, such as an order, from a multiple of differently formatted source versions
With SQData, data replication options include One-to-One, One-to-Many, Many-to-One or Many-to-Many. With any of these replication options, identified data of interest or captured events can be:
- Routed to a different platform
- Put on a queue, or other downstream delivery
- Options including XML, binary or delimited
- Used for event publishing to capture key business events (such as trouble tickets, orders, product shipments)
- Used as a trigger (for fraud detection)
- Augmented with other information via lookups or joins
- Forwarded to other applications

Data Integration
|
|
With SQData, organizations can integrate legacy data into newer databases for use on new platforms by new applications, as shown in Figure 1. Source data can be virtually any database on any platform; similarly, target data can be any database on any platform. Figure 1 shows data integration as a one-way process. It can be a one-way process, and it can be a one-time conversion, or an ongoing one-way process. However, it can also be a two-way process.
Figure 2 shows a two-way data integration process. Legacy application data used by legacy applications on one platform can be integrated with data on a second platform that is used by newer applications. At the same time, the data used by the newer applications on the second platform can be integrated with the legacy data used by the legacy applications on the first platform. Further, this type of data integration is not limited to two databases on two platforms—any number of platforms can share integrated data with any number of platforms.
This level of data integration allows organizations to achieve a virtual application integration while avoiding the expense of actually modifying applications.
Both source and target platforms can support many configurations including:

SQData LiveCheck
|
|
SQData LiveCheck is an complementary product that ensures source-to-target integrity during active replication. It can be used with an SQData solution, or to enhance an existing ETL system. LiveCheck also:
- Eliminates post-processing to address data inconsistencies
- Provides data consistency for high-volume, 24x7 data operations
- Resynchronizes individual rows or ranges of rows (with LiveSynch; available with LiveCheck)
- Can be added to existing CDC installations
