tableBASE VTS
(Virtual Table Share) enables data tables to be shared in memory among batch and online applications running on the same LPAR, making it possible for business processes to communicate and pass data among themselves at in-memory speed.
tableBASE VTS allows applications to concurrently update the same tables, and their updates will be immediately available to all applications sharing that VTS region. Each shared table is loaded only once for all applications, saving a tremendous amount of memory and load time as well as reducing I/O, system paging, and overall storage requirements.
